As Lilongwe is Malawi�s biggest and most developed city accommodation options are varied and cater to all needs and budgets from luxury 5-star hotels to cheap backpackers� hostels.

On the southern shores is the Lake Malawi National Park and in it are its numerous camps, including eco-camps with a touch of luxury on Mumbo Island. Liwonde National Park in southern Malawi also has its fair share of camps, including Mvuu Lodge and the Hippo View Lodge on the Shire River.
